Ground Breaking
Ground Breaking for the new Moapa Water Resource Center is scheduled for 2-21-08 at 1:00 PM 
 
MMC recently awarded two new projects.
The first is the Moapa Valley Water Resource Center from Clark County Water Reclamation District for 22mil. Work to include a new Headworks Facility, Operations and Process Support Building, along with a concrete aeration basin, RAS splitter and mixed liquor splitter box and a 75’ diameter secondary clarifier.

The second is the Arsenic Removal Project from the Virgin Valley Water District for 22mil. Project consists of five (5) separate arsenic removal plants designed to remove arsenic from ground water.

WRF PH.3 EXPANSION
This project consists of adding 8 MGD of capacity to the existing facility. It includes the following: • A new master Headworks Facility consisting of Fine Screens, Aerated Grit Basins, Screening and Grit Washing and Handling, Scum Collection and Processing, Flow Equalization, Odor Control and an Influent Pumping Station. • BNR Activate Sludge Basin, Blower Building and related facilities. • Anaerobic and Anoxic Basins to convert the existing Oxidation Ditches to BNR basins • Final Clarifiers, RAS/WAS Pumping Station, Rapid Mix Basin, Flocculation Basin, Plate Settler and Chemical Storage and Handling Building, Continuous Backwash Filters, Ultraviolet Disinfection, Contact Basins. • Solids Handling and Processing Building with Belt Filter Presses and Aerated Sludge Holding Basins.

SOLIDS DEWATERING FACILITY
This project consists of the construction of a new solids dewatering facilities. It includes the following – • New Solids Dewatering Building with two 376,000 gallon sludge tanks, eight centrifuges, progressing cavity feed pumps, dewatered cake conveyance system, dewatered cake storage bins, a truck loading system, polymer mixing system and various chemical feed systems. • Transfer pump station with six progressing cavity pumps along with piping and controls • Sludge transmission lines with Micro Tunneling under the Las Vegas Wash. • Odor Control facilities with fans, biotowers, humidifiers and organic media biofilters.

Primaries 13 & 14 -- Clark County Water Reclamation District Contract 582
This project consists of building two 120’ concrete primary clarifiers with processing equipment, piping, controls and covers. Also included is the rehabilitation of six existing clarifiers with new coating, mechanisms, and aluminum covers.
